Published Wed 17 Apr 2024

The WTT Youth Contender Darwin will again include Singles events for boys and girls in <11, <13, <15, <17, and <19 years, as well as Mixed Doubles for <15 and <19 years.

We expect strong teams from Asia. In 2023, China and Chinese Taipei dominated the <17 and <19 years events, strong performances were also recorded by players from India, Malaysia, Singapore and Korea. Australia, Singapore and Malaysia tended to dominate the <11 and <13 years events.

We again plan to host an international youth training camp in the week prior to the tournament. This will aslo be held at the Marrara Indoor Stadium.

International umpire training will be held on 2nd October with evaluations during the tournament.

Players and team officials will be offered a full hospitality option which includes accommodation, meals and transport for the duration of the event. Alternatively, participants can choose to pay an entry fee and to make their own hospitality arrangements.

Entries will open approximately one month prior to the event and will be managed through the WTT online entry system. Entry is through the player's national association.

Australian players will receive information on the event and advice regarding the EoI process in advance of entries opening. Entries will be through Table Tennis Australia.
